ROOFING DAY
Marc-André, Sylvain, Luc,  René, (in banner) and Nathalie, Gaby and I redo the Ashphalt Shingles. We start at 7h30 am.. Luc and Marc-André have to leave at 3h30.. We finish at 7h50. Just before a thunderstorm. Pizza and beer is really feels great afterwards. I really did a great day, Haulling the 70lbs packages of Shingles and bending all over the place. We'll see how Gym goes tomorrow.

ACHES AND PAINS
My left shoulder.. tendons, completely at the top really hurt. I've been icing it for a couple of days. It started hurting a little quite a while back. But now it's really bad. Probably from lifting the weights too high on the side.  Start taking Anti-inflammatories; Novonaprox-ec 375 that I have from another injury. I have enough for 11 days.

There ARE classes in September, but  Boucherville, not Beloeil where they have a school but no Lady's Styling classes. Maybe I can find something closer.  Total Estimated Time: 47 minutes Total Estimated Distance: 50.91 kilometers. Classes start in September, 45 $ / month / contact with Karine was warm and friendly.

The workshops of Lady's Styling awake the "Salsera" which sleeps in every woman either in their body movements, their sensuality and their attitude when they dance. It is a course of female expression in which we work on the posture, the hands movements, the body isolation, the sets of feet, how to listen to a partner, the style, the attitude, etc, in order to correct the small errors and to improve the style in salsa.

Madessimo ~ SALSA SCHOOL ~ Granby ~

Lady Styling Granby is much closer, Total Estimated Time: 30 minutes, Total Estimated Distance: 28.64 kilometers, but slightly more expensive, . Classes are on  Friday's .. don't know at what time yet, but there are free practices on Friday evenings so that might be a nice combination. . Contact with Nancy was cold, but sometimes e-mails are deceiving. I'd have to go register before July 13 th. Classes start on August 15th. 15 $ / class.

We won't change ballroom for salsa, at least not anytime soon, but Granby's even closer than our regular dance classes in Beloeil , which are  Total Estimated Time: 39 minutes, Total Estimated Distance: 32.08 kilometers. Gas is at 1,45$ / liter these days and rumer has it that it will keep climbing, so distance really counts.

DANCING IN HIGH HEELS ~ Rambling
Tu put my dancing in context is the same as to put my training in context. So my left metatarsals still always bother me.. specially in heels, even with my metatarsal support. I work mostly in running shoes or other low heel shoes, so besides dancing I don't wear heels much. and I'm sure I'd be better at turning in salsa if I wore heels daily. So I'll try to wear them for a few hours a day. Maybe I'll just ice it after.

ACHES AND PAINS
My left shoulder..
Have appointement with Physio Therapist Nathalie Desmarais. I've seen her before for some other pain. She's good.  Learn that my shoulder aches are a result of my roller-blading accident a few years ago. Because of those aches.. I stopped training some deep laying muscles that lift my humerus into my shoulder, and ease the tension on my trapeze. So now.. my traps are stretched at the same time as they contract to work hard. Well.. something like that.. I have to learn to use those muscles, specially in my left shoulder. The good news is that I seem to be able to isolate that muscle and move it properly. I don't have to go back to see Nathalie, just do all the exercises, sports, (including transporting heavy stuff like luggage in 2 weeks) the proper way. besides that.. warmth and massages (she did get rid of  a knot I had on the side of my neck by massage) , except when I "burn" in which case I have to ice it. I'm glad it's about a muscle, not a tendon.

NOTE : Nathalie Demarais is in our Salsa classes on Tuesdays. Small world.

Otherwise, well, I still have DOMS all over from Wednesday's WO.

I'm taking a break from training.. but still aching all over. Not toooo much, but not comfortable. Maybe just tired.
